Über Darcy
Darcy Burke is a USA Today bestselling author of historical romance and mystery novels, as well as contemporary romance. Darcy wrote her first book at age 11. It was a happy-ending story about a magic-obsessed swan and the swan who loved him, with extremely bad illustrations.
Originally from Oregon, Darcy lives on the edge of wine country with her guitar-playing husband, her incredibly talented daughter, who is an artist, and her imaginative, Japanese-speaking son, who will almost certainly surpass her at writing one day (perhaps tomorrow). They are a crazy cat family with two Bengal cats, a small, fame-seeking Torbie named after a fruit, an older rescue Maine Coon with a healthy dose of stubbornness, an adorable former stray who strolled onto their patio and into their hearts, and two inseparable tomcats (a Russian Blue and a Turkish Van) who used to belong to (different) neighbors but chose her instead. You’ll find Darcy in her comfy writing chair, balancing her laptop and one or three cats, trying her hand at yoga, folding laundry (which she loves), or watching wildlife and playing games with her family. She loves traveling to the UK and visiting her cousins in Denmark.
